Big Mob channels the voices of our original, new and worldwide communities preserving and representing the culture-keeping force of music and the power of words and oral story-telling. Each week Big Mob will shine a light on indigenous artists around Australia, specifically focusing on the voices and messages of younger generations. The show also explores worldwide sounds and fusions, the product of a long history of colonisation, globalisation and movement of people. It pays tribute to ancient wisdom and tradition along side contemporary roots, reggae and Hip Hop.
Through interviews, Big Mob calls on the help of artists to bring listeners the best music from inside and outside our shores. The interviews also aim to initiate educational, open and topical discussions that see communities and artists telling and sharing their own stories, views and messages.
