People who love jazz know that the music can comfort, excite and inspire them. Jazz has its own language to speak to its followers.
Jazz on Saturday has been talking that language on PBS for years, with jazz from the great musicians throughout the wonderful history of the music; jazz lives through the creativity of musicians from all over the world. The inspiration piled on from age to age - from Louis Armstrong to Miles Davis, from Duke Ellington to Stan Kenton, from Dexter Gordon to Paul Desmond.
All of this music continues with the welcome return of Jim McLeod as programmer/presenter of Jazz On Saturday. Jim has been a national voice of jazz for many years on radio and television, and is now delighted to be part of PBS.
