This week on State of the Art, Roger discusses the Robert Rooney exhibition of intimate Portrait Photographs (1978 - 1987) of Australian artists, art dealers and critics.

Also included in the exhibition are several portraits of Jenny Watson , who in 1981 was commissioned to do portraits of The Go-Betweens, later used by the group for reproduction on the cover of their first album "Send Me A Lullaby" (Rough Trade, 1982). For more information visit the Tolarno Galleries website.

Also discussed will be the truly amazing Vivian Maier exhibition of never-before-seen photographs at CCP (part of this year's Melbourne Festival) 404 George St, Fitzroy. More information here.
