After wowing Australian audiences in April this year at Bluesfest in Byron Bay and in Sydney, Floridian Southern blues rockers JJ Grey & Mofro have announced they'll be gracing Aussie stages again this October.

Don't miss this mighty band that delivers a soulful blend of blues, rock, folk, funk, gospel, gritty R&B and personal Southern-inspired narratives.

JJ Grey began touring as Mofro in the late '90s, with a lyrical directness, and backbeats that crossed Steve Cropper with George Clinton, as his fan base grew from a modest group of loyal initiates into something resembling a national coalition. He remains an unfettered, blissful performer, singing with a blue-collared spirit over the bone-deep grooves of his compositions.

JJ Grey & Mofro will be treating Australian audiences to tracks from their latest release Ol’ Glory (2015), described by Australian critics as “full of sublime summer goodness” (Renowned For Sound) and “one of the albums of the year” (Music Mainline) as well as songs from their extensive back catalogue.

Independent Blues/Soul troubadour Shaun Kirk, a favourite on the Australian festival circuit, has been announced as the special guest for JJ Grey & Mofro’s Melbourne and Sydney shows. Shaun Kirk has come a long way since his debut release in 2010, having been described as “one of the most explosive solo acts Australia has to offer” and “one of the finest blues voices this country has ever heard”. His most recent release Steer The Wheel, his first recording with a band, debuted at #1 on the Australian Blues ITunes charts.
