PBS 106.7FM is very pleased to announce Rock-A-Bye Baby on Thursday, February 1 with one of Australia’s most respected and inspiring Aboriginal singer/songwriters, Kutcha Edwards.

“Music is not what I do, it is who I am. My songs may be contemporary but they are over 40,000 years old. My music continues the tracks of my Mutti Mutti songline.”
Kutcha Edwards

Fusing soulful music and a rich, powerful voice with his personal story, Kutcha’s songs reflect on life as an Aboriginal man in white Australia. His deep and rhythmic tones are that of a storyteller whose inspiring songs are full of passion and spirit that evoke a connection to an intimate and resilient songline. “Come walk with me…” sings this proud Mutti Mutti man, as he invites us on his unforgettable journey of understanding, insight and memories. Kutcha's magnificent singing, his poignancy and humour makes for an unforgettable encounter with one of Australia’s Indigenous icons and celebrated singer/songwriters.

After successes with bands Watbalimba and Black Fire, Kutcha began his solo career. He has since produced four CDs, staged two theatre productions, ‘Songlines of a Mutti Mutti Man’ and ‘yuyukatha’, received several awards including Indigenous Person of the Year, Deadly Vibes Male Artist of the Year and most recently the 2016 Melbourne Music Prize. Kutcha has travelled extensively performing his music both nationally and internationally and was part of the original cast of the prestigious Black Arm Band. As a member of the Stolen Generations, Kutcha has overcome enormous adversity to become the celebrated singer/songwriter, role model and mentor he is today.
